A few words about me
Hi, I’m Christina — the heart behind G&T Amsterdam.
My journey into tango was born from a lifelong love of music. I grew up immersed in classical piano, wandered through opera and electronic soundscapes, and everything shifted the moment I first heard Astor Piazzolla. That spark lit something in me—tango entered my life and quickly became part of who I am.
For me, tango is more than a dance—it’s a space of deep connection, creative freedom, and soul-nourishing expression. As I evolved, so did my path. Inspired by childhood memories of my grandmother—a talented artisanal modiste—I took a leap during the 2020 pandemic. After over a decade of dancing, I began designing and styling custom tango wear: pieces that blend elegance, comfort, and individuality. That’s how G&T Amsterdam came to life—a creative space where fashion meets movement, and self-expression shines. Every design is crafted with love and intention, made to support the dancer’s flow while adding that special sparkle that lights up the floor.
My passion also brought me behind the DJ booth—curating tandas that help dancers connect more deeply to the music and to each other. Whether I’m designing or DJ-ing, my purpose is the same: to create beautiful moments of expression, energy, and joy.
